What Motivated You To Begin Training?
After I had my children, I did what pretty well every mom does. I put my kids first, and myself beyond last. I was very unhappy with myself and my life. My husband and I made a deal. If I finished the insanity workout, we’d get me a membership at the local gym. I finished it and started working out in 2013. I met Jessica Macmillan IFBB pro at my gym and hired her as a personal trainer. One day, she just said “you’re going to compete,and I will get you there”. And she did.
Tell us a little about your training philosophy:
My training philosophy is that if you have to believe you can. You have to wan tit. And you have to count on no one else but yourself. Hard work. Dedication. And discipline.
Tell us a little bit about your diet philosophy:
Fueling your body with the proper nutrition. Eating clean, natural foods.
Please tell us about your competitive history and placings:
I competed at the GNC live well inside fitness show last November, followed by the Gala in bikini. I placed 12/22 at the inside fitness snow, and top 10 at the gala. I then realized that Bikini was not for me and I started training hard to compete in figure. I competed at the Winston Roberts Cobourg Naturals and placed 3rd qualifying me for provincials.

Tell us some of your pet peeves surrounding healthy life and the gym:
When Pepe tell me not to get big, or that I’m getting too skinny. Fit shaming is as bad as fat shaming and it needs to end.
What is the number one piece of advice that you would give someone that looks to you for inspiration?
Find your strength motivator. For me, it’s Wonder Woman. She is the epitome of a strong beautiful woman. She fights for what’s right. Don’t fit a mold. Be your own you, and strive to be the best you, you can be. Be a fucking wolf. Be a fucking lion. Take no shit. Set goals. Smash them. Eat people’s faces off. Be a better person. Show people who the fuck you are Never apologize for being awesome. Stay the motherfucking course.
