I was sick of being lethargic, sitting on the couch, and eating junk food all the time and realized I needed to make a change if I wanted to feel better about myself.

I run regularly on the treadmill, go for walks and bike rides, do pilates and recently started doing classes at the gym.
Tell us a little bit about your diet philosophy:
Healthy eating and portion control and lots of fluid is a must. I do have my cheat days, particularly for special occasions, but mainly I eat healthy and often enjoy fruits as a healthy snack.
Tell us about some of your short and long term goals:
Long term goal is to maintain my weight loss so I can be healthy and be involved in more activities.
Who do you look to for motivation and why?
My husband is a huge motivator as he has always been by my side during my journey and continues to push me, even on the days I really don’t want to exercise. My family and friends have also helped motivate me by keeping me on track for my goals.
What are some of the most difficult obstacles that you have had to overcome?
It’s a complete lifestyle change so when you are used to eating very unhealthy foods and never exercising, it’s extremely difficult at first.
What is the number one piece of advice that you would give someone that looks to you for inspiration?
It’s hard work but just keep pushing as it’s worth it to see the positive changes!
