Category: OPA Athlete Do you use a trainer? Yes Trainer: Elite Physique CanadaWhat Motivated You To Begin Training?
I have always been a health and fitness advocate. I love sports and being active. I’m motivated to inspire others.
Tell us a little about your training philosophy:
I train 5 days a week, for about 1 hour. I isolate and target one major muscle group per session and perhaps a smaller muscle as well. Ie. Chest and Ab’s. I lift heavy and with a high intensity. In the words of Mr.Olympia Phil Heath ” I train every day like its leg day”!!
Tell us a little bit about your diet philosophy:
You look and feel as good as what you consume. I eat about 4,489 calories in the off-season. 2,142 carbohydrates, and 2,347 protein/fat. I eat very low fat proteins and no sugar in my diet.
Please tell us about your competitive history and placings (if applicable):
I recently was runner up in Men’s Tall Physique at the Fouad Abiad Natural Championship in Windsor.

Tell us about some of your short and long term goals:
I placed second in a regional event in Windsor. I now qualify for the Provincials in August of 2016. My goal is to have a strong off season and place first overall. I would love to move on to the Nationals.
Who do you look to for motivation and why?
I look to my amazing wife and two beautiful little girls for motivation. They inspire me every day to work hard and follow my dreams.
What are some of the most difficult obstacles that you have had to overcome?
In my younger days I was a smoker and enjoyed drinking excessively. This lifestyle was hard to overcome.Having positive role models in my life such as my dad helped me to focus on sports and healthy living. I have been living a clean and healthy lifestyle for over 15 years now.
Tell us some of your pet peeves surrounding healthy life and the gym:
My biggest pet peeve’s are people who are to arrogant to listen or acknowledge facts or tips from others. You can always learn something new and relevant from people you least expect. Nobody know everything, and what works for you may not work for others.
What is the number one piece of advice that you would give someone that looks to you for inspiration?
HARD WORK!! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! There is always someone with more talent, however you must be willing to outwork them in order to succeed.
