What Motivated You To Begin Training?
I was always a small as a kid, I was very strong and was teased for it. My mom bought me a bench press from a yard sale at the age of 16 and I began to use it. I was hooked after seeing myself make progress, now three years later I am competing in power lifting and feeling better than ever!
Tell us a little about your training philosophy:
I train to excel in the three main lifts, squat, bench, and dead lift. I put most of my focus on these movements. The sets and reps may change depending on how I feel that day. 3-6 reps with multiple sets is how I like to train with accessories done at lighter weight with more reps.
Tell us a little bit about your diet philosophy:
I do eat some junk! But I keep it moderately clean. The most common foods I eat are ground beef, eggs, loads of peanut butter, pastas, oats, and all sorts of greens.
What are some of the most difficult obstacles that you have had to overcome?
The biggest obstacle I’ve had was money. I moved out on my own at 19 and money was tight. I have found ways to make it easier on my self and my wallet.
Tell us some of your pet peeves surrounding healthy life and the gym:
Weights not being put away.
What is the number one piece of advice that you would give someone that looks to you for inspiration?
Leave your the ego at the door! Don’t rush it and train safe
