What Motivated You To Begin Training?
I have always loved a challenge. Whether it be in sports, school, work or something else. I’ve always been very active, and have always been told I was too skinny to compete in bodybuilding… so this is me showing myself that I can do anything I put my mind to!
Tell us a little about your training philosophy:
First things first… I listen to my body. I follow a very strict workout regimen – strength training 6 days a week, and cardio every day! BUT there are days where my body needs a rest… and if I’m feeling sick/tired, I will allow myself to rest, or will cut back on my workout! Better gains in the long run!
Tell us a little bit about your diet philosophy:
Going through this process, I have quickly learned that diet is a much bigger element of getting that “desired physique” than people realize. I eat 6-7 times a day, every 2-3 hours… never allowing myself to feel starving, but never allowing myself to get to that real full feeling… I love it!
Who do you look to for motivation and why?
I look to my coach, Jill Bunny, for motivation. She is such an accomplished and professional individual, who knows just what to say and when. She is such a humble individual, and even though I haven’t worked with her for long, I know that her perseverance will keep me pushing through for years to come!
Tell us some of your pet peeves surrounding healthy life and the gym:
In the gym… put your weights away!!! My goodness haha!
What is the number one piece of advice that you would give someone that looks to you for inspiration?
Never stop believing in your goals and dreams. If you want something bad enough, go get it – take action! But do realize that along the way, there will be barriers that you will overcome, and new doors may even open from your experiences…leading you to a dream. Whatever your dreams and goals are, do it for YOU!
